At St. John Lutheran School, our recurring theme is "Focus on Discipleship". It is our goal that our students know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and, as a result of that faith, what it means to live as a disciple in this world. Themes throughout our school year focus on this theme and opportunities are provided for our students to grow in the expression of their faith. We are glad to welcome you and are happy to get this opportunity to share with you the good news at St. John Lutheran School. St. John Lutheran School, located at 6630 Southeastern Ave in Indianapolis, is a ministry of St. John Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The school opened its doors in 1853. Since that time, it has continuously provided a Christian education for members of the church and others throughout the southeast section of Marion County. We offer a Preschool class (age 3) two mornings a week, a PreKindergarten class (age 4) three mornings a week, a full-day Kindergarten program, and grades 1-8. A majority of our students continue their education at Lutheran High School, which is located just a few miles from St. John.
