CALLS ISSUED


  • St. John has issued a call to Mr. John March to serve as Principal. He currently serves as Principal at Our Savior’s Lutheran School in Colonie, New York. 
  • St. John has also issued a call to Jennifer Tinkey to serve as our Kindergarten teacher. She currently serves as a Kindergarten teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon, OH.
 
Please keep them, their families, and their schools in your prayers.

LAPS WALK-A-THON



Our annual spring Walk-a-thon will take place on Wednesday, May 9th. Information packets about our walk-a-thon, including sponsor procedures, went home with students on Monday. We hope you will all join us in this effort to raise funds for exciting programming and opportunities for our students.

Check out the table by the school entrance. We have some tshirts for sale for only $2.00. We also have school polos for sale for $5.00. All are limited sizes and limited colors. You may pay via cash or check in the office.

ISTEP



Part 2 of the state-mandated ISTEP testing in Math, English, Language Arts and Science or Social Studies begins next Monday, April 16th, for 3rd-8th grade students. It is crucial that students are presents for those tests each day. Remember it is not easy to make up these tests so please avoid making Doctor appointments if possible.



SPORTS AWARDS NIGHT



All student athletes from the fall and winter seasons and their families are invited to join us in the Gym on Sunday, April 22nd from 5:30-7:15 pm. We will recognize our athletes for their achievements and present them with the sport pins. First-time participants will receive their Letter, too. Cookies, lemonade, and iced tea will be provided. If you would like to donate cookies please drop them off in the office by the 20th. If you have any questions, please speak with Mr. Willig via Fast Direct.


TUITION OPTIONS
FOR 2018-19


Parents, a message was sent out on Fast Direct regarding tuition options for 2018-19. If you choose to pay in full prior to July 2nd, you’ll receive a 3% discount. Credit cards cannot be used to pay tuition. Use this link to pay. If you would like to enroll with SMART Tuition making monthly payments, please go to our website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click SMART Tuition to enroll.
Please notify Lori Reno Howard if your tuition arrangements are changing.


NEW MENU ITEMS


 
Be on the lookout for some new menu items this month. We will be offering Chicken and Noodles with homemade noodles, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Chicken Pot Pie and Grilled Cheese.
 

SPELLING BEE


Students in grades 1 - 4 represent their classes in the Spelling Bee next Wednesday evening, April 18 at 6:30 PM. in the Dwelling Place. Please use the Hunter Road parking lot entrance or the main door to the Dwelling Place. The main school doors by the office will not be unlocked.
