  BIBLE QUIZ


    
Our Bible Quiz team competed last Thursday, Oct. 26th against 5 other area Lutheran schools at Lutheran High School. Our team came in 3rd place with a score of 102. They were only 2 points away from 2nd place. Representing our team were Garrett B., Quinn B., Emily C., Sukhpreet G., Zoey H., Paige M., Gabby R., Sophia S., and Naomi W. We thank Mrs. McCartney for coaching our team.

 

SPIRIT DAY AND BASKETBALL RALLY

 

This Friday, Nov. 3rd all students in all grades are encouraged to wear St. John wear or dress in school colors (blue, black, and white) to show school spirit before our Girls Basketball team plays in their first tournament. Our Lady Eagles play their 1st game on Friday night at 6:00 at Trinity Lutheran School. Come support our Eagles on Friday night!

 

PICTURE RETAKES

Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday, November 8. Inter-State Studios will take pictures for those students who were not here on picture day in September, or for those who have returned the original pictures to request a retake. FIELD TRIPS


 

Our students have been busy attending some exciting field trips. Last week the 3rd and 4th grades got to experience Environmental Adventure Day at Southeastway Park. The 2nd Graders got to experience the Zoo and observe the different animals. Yesterday, the 4th grade class learned about the business of farming at The Sheet’s Farm.

 

VETERAN'S DAY FESTIVITIES

All veterans are invited to a luncheon and program hosted by the St. John Ladies’ Aid on Thursday, Nov. 9th., at 11:30 am in the Commons. The program is "Abe Martin" portrayed by actor Danny Russel. The program is scheduled to start at 1 pm.
 

PACK AWAY HUNGER


 

On Friday, November 17th, our Upper grades will be serving at Pack Away Hunger. Pack Away Hunger is a ministry located here in Indianapolis that provides specialized meals for families in Indiana as well as in other countries. The meals we pack will go to Haiti and stay here locally. To read more about this ministry, click here.
 

LITTLE WINGS INTERIM DIRECTOR

Lori Forgey has been named Interim Director of Little Wings. We praise God for Lori’s willingness to serve our ministry in this role. Planning for filling the director’s position on a permanent basis is underway and will be announced in the near future.
