School News: September 5, 2017

Thanks for all of the Mum orders. 924 mums were sold and we raised $5,682! This money will be used to help cover educational expenses not covered by tuition, for example, the Lower grade PE program.

Plans have been drawn up to develop a nature center in the area where the teacher house was removed last year. We hope it will be a blessing to our students and our community, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP. The project will require funds and we are seeking corporate sponsors of all sizes to help.  If you have any contact information for any of our area business that could be approached, please share that information with Mr. Willig. Please do not make that initial contact, we just need a foot in the right doors. We thank you in advance for any information you can provide. We are very excited about the many possibilities this will provide to our school, church, and community.

As of Tuesday morning, our St. John School and Church Families have raised almost $400. Thank you for continuing to support these families in need.

Our St. John Eagles Soccer Team and Volleyball teams play the Trinity Trojans tonight at 5 pm at Trinity Lutheran School. Go Eagles! Our Lady Eagles Varsity Volleyball team will head to St. James Lafayette this weekend for Volleyball Tournament.

Similar to the Spirit Night’s we had last year, the PTL is organizing “Dine to Donate” events at local restaurants. This month we are kicking off this event on Wednesday, September 13th from 6-8 pm at Fazoli’s 4742 S Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203. Hope to see you there!

There will be a meeting this Sunday, September 10th starting at 3 for all 7th-8th Confirmation students and their parents. We will be discussing the importance of Confirmation, why we do it, and some possible changes. We hope you can join us.
