St. John is pleased to offer a variety of Christian Education opportunities throughout the month for all ages. Please consider the following Adult Education classes as part of your regular weekly schedule.
Ongoing Bible Study
Sunday Mornings 9:30-10:15 am
Choices for Children
Gather in the Dwelling Place for Kid’s Praise at 9:25am and the main Bible lesson. Then, we break into two small groups for activities. 3 year olds — 7 year olds (children finishing 1st Grade) will be picked up in the Pre-School Room. 8 year olds through 12 year olds will be picked up in the 2nd Grade Room. All children ages 3 through 3rd Grade must be signed in by a parent or guardian and then signed out when you pick them up.
Teachers are needed as we plan for summer Sunday School.



Choices For Adults – Adult Christian Education
Pastor Krupski’s Class (Music Room)
Beginning August 22nd, Pastor Phil will lead a new study entitled, “God’s Church in Mission”. This will be a week by week study of the stories found in the Book of Acts.
Pastor Machina’s Class (Art Room)
Pastor Frank will begin a study of the Gospel of St. Matthew on August 22nd.
Pastor May’s Class (Location TBA)
Pastor Jeremy will be offering a new Bible class on the “100 Bible Stories Every Christian Should Know”, beginning August 22nd.
Additional Classes
Revive: Please join us; all ‘young adults’ are welcome! Our study topic is Journeying Through God’s Word – Acts Book. This series examines how different books of the Bible establish important themes and hoe they relate to each other. Please join us to see how God’s Word related to your life. “Current Events Through the Eyes of Faith”: A weekly discussion of “breaking news” in a biblical context and how we can apply Scripture passages covered that week to our lives. This class is taught by Rick Kerr and meets in the Media Center.

Midweek Bible Study - Pastor Krupski leads a one-hour Bible study that meets at 10am in the Commons. Current study is, the Old Testament Book, Nehemiah. In this book we see the people of Jerusalem faced with the daunting task of rebuilding the wall of their city. In this study we will consider Christian teamwork, leadership, motivation in God’s grace and endurance during difficult times. Join us at any time. Coffee and Lemonade are served.

Men’s Breakfast Fellowship
Our Saturday Morning Men’s Breakfast Fellowship meets on the first Saturday of each month, in the Art Room. Join us from 7:30 to 9:00AM for breakfast, study, and fellowship. We are currently studying, “Trusting God in Troubled Times”. Join us next in September
Women’s Bible Breakfast
Women’s Bible breakfast will not meet during the summer months and will resume in September. Contact Mary Durkin with questions 791-0845.
Other Educational Offerings
Adult Discipleship Class: Thursdays 7-9 pm, Commons by the Courtyard
Adult Discipleship Classes for those interested in reviewing the basic teachings of the Christian faith and considering how to use their lives in service to the Lord. This class is required for those interested in membership at St. John Lutheran Church. The class meets on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Public School Confirmation Class
If you have a 7th or 8th grade student attending Public School or home-schooled you are invited to participate in Confirmation Classes, please contact Pastor at the Church Office, 352-9196 or by email at pastorphil@stjohnindy.org, so that your child is able to get begin the two years of instruction leading up to Confirmation.
