![]() | Pastor Phil KrupskiPhil graduated from Concordia College, Ann Arbor MI in 1985 with a BA. He then received his MDiv. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN in 1989. He has served at St. John as Senior Pastor since September, 2000. Spending time one on one with people drives his passionate desire to communicate the grace of Jesus into every situation, whether in private or group settings. His favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:1--"There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Phil enjoys participating in active sports and bike riding. He really enjoys a whole variety of music. He and his wife Maridee have three daughters, Bethany and Rebekah, both students at Purdue University and Katherine, a student at Lutheran High School, Indianapolis. |
![]() | Pastor Jeremy MayJeremy received his English degree from Concordia University-Nebraska in 2005. In 2009, he graduated from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis and has since been the Pastor of Discipleship at St. John. He is passionate about preaching and teaching, and he takes particular joy from the interaction that happens in his classes. Whenever possible, he engages in such activities as reading, volleyball, playing games, watching television, and throwing a frisbee. He and his wife Becky both enjoy movies, walks, and camping. |
![]() | Mr. John DurkinJohn is a graduate (Theology) of Concordia University Chicago with over ten years of full-time ministry experience. He loves being able to serve a variety of age groups and ministries. John is passionate about equipping people for ministry through training, networking, and encouragement. John and his wife Mary (a first grade teacher at Holy Cross Lutheran) have three wonderful children: Maddie (8), Mike (4) and Hailey Moore (12). John is a seasoned presenter and emcee who enjoys music, weight lifting, reading, sports, and movies. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family. |
![]() | Pastor Frank MachinaPastor Machina, a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, served parishes in Ohio, Minnesota and at Christ Lutheran, Indianapolis, before St. John saved him from retirement with a Call in 2003. He particularly appreciates here the freedom for extensive one-on-one ministry without standard parish administrative demands. He and his wife Rose Ann have two children, Tim ( Tina), Laurie Rose (David) Gwaltney, and two grandchildren, Rose Alyse and Holton. To support his pre and post grauate education he worked what ever jobs he could find; heavy construction, auto mechanics, fast food delivery, and teaching are only a few. He enjoys woodworking, playing piano and organ, photography, writing, fishing and other outdoor activities; played college basketball, and coached track. His philosophy of life and ministry? This world and everything in it is broken. Christ through his life, death, and resurrection gave us a temporary fix while we wait for his permanent repair. In the interim our Lord has delegated to us some repair work of our own and given us the capacity for joy even in the breakage. |
