ST. JOHN TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK
St. John will join with other Lutheran early childhood, elementary and high schools to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week from March 3-11, 2012. There are currently 945 Lutheran elementary schools serving over 107,000 students in grades K-8. We thank God for this opportunity and praise Him for His blessing of our Christian educational ministry since 1852.
Among the reasons congregations have given for supporting a Lutheran School are to nurture faith, to teach children to grow in grace and knowledge, to teach the Word, to communicate and establish Christian values, to equip children for a life of Christian service, and to use the educational ministries to reach out to the others with the Gospel.
Please join us in worship on March 3 and 4 as we celebrate Lutheran Schools Week with our ministries:
Little Wings Childcare, St. John Lutheran School, Lutheran High School of Indianapolis
Saturday, March 3 - 6:00 PM
Sunday, March 4 - 8:00 AM, 10:25 AM, and 10:45 AM.
Our services will include testimony from some of the school parents, selections by our school choirs, special prayers, and recognition of the teaching staff.
Please join us in worship on March 10 and 11 as we conclude Lutheran Schools Week with our special guest:
SINGER/MUSICIAN DAVID BRITTON TO SHARE GOSPEL IN WORD AND SONG.
We welcome David Paul Britton to our worship services. In his 34 years of service, Dave has served His Lord as a worship leader, musician/songwriter, radio show host and producer, a Praise team Choral trainer, and Lutheran high school educator.
Saturday, March 10 - 6:00 PM
Sunday, March 11 - 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM
Join us as Dave shares the message of Jesus in Word and song.
