At St. John Lutheran School, it is our goal to help our students know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and, as a result of that faith, what it means to live as a disciple in this world. Themes throughout our school year focus on this goal and opportunities are provided for our students to grow in the understanding and expression of their faith. We are glad to welcome you and are happy to get this opportunity to share with you the good news at St. John Lutheran School.
St. John Lutheran School, located at 6630 Southeastern Ave in Indianapolis, is a ministry of St. John Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). The school opened its doors in 1852. Since that time, it has continuously provided a Christian education for many children throughout the southeast section of Marion County. We offer a Preschool class (age 3) two mornings a week, a Pre Kindergarten class (age 4) three mornings a week or three afternoons a week, a full-day Kindergarten program, and grades 1-8. Many of our students continue their education at Lutheran High School, which is located just a few miles from St. John.
