Little Wings Staff
Mrs. Lori Forgey, her husband Randy, and daughter, Meghan have been members of St. John since 2005. They joined St. John when their daughter, Meghan, started kindergarten, and Mrs. Forgey began working at Little Wings at the same time.
Lori's background is in Social work, and she has worked as a guard at the Juvenile Detention Center, as a counselor with teens who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions as well as psychiatric issues. She has also worked at Big Sisters as a Case Manager. Her degrees are both from I.U., with an undergrad in psychology and a Master’s degrees in Social Work.
Mrs Forgey's thoughts on Little Wings: "When I came to Little Wings, my intention was to work here a couple of years until my daughter was a little older. However, I fell in love with the kids and loved being able to teach them about Jesus. I had not been able to do this in my previous work settings. I enjoy watching them learn and love their enthusiasm for learning. I enjoy the variety of activities we have for the kids at Little Wings. It is so much more than a Childcare, as we incorporate so many fun educational activities into their daily schedule."
Mrs. Forgey's favorite things:
candy: Reese cups and anything with peanut butter in it.
Favorite food: peanut butter, steak and pizza
Bible verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 and Jeremiah 29:11
Favorite TV shows: Chopped and almost everything on the food network. The Big Bang Theory
Movies: Anything funny and not scary

I have been married almost 8 years. We have 2 children, ages 19 and 17. I grew up in South Bend, Indiana. I attended Ball State University receiving a BS degree in Legal Administration in 1983. I moved to Indianapolis in 1985. I returned to Ball State in 1993 to obtain my teaching license. I have taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I have also worked over 20 years for a sitter service, Sitters to the Rescue. I have been at Little Wings a little over 7 years this past Fall. I began working with Preschool and moved my way up to the Baby Room. I enjoy sewing in my spare time and I have made most of the curtains at Little Wings. Some of the baby items I make for Little Wings are the burp cloths, blankets, and sleep sacks.

I grew up on the southside of Indianapolis. I attended Emmaus Lutheran Church and School during grade school. I graduated from Lutheran High School in 2002 which is where I met my husband, Jake. We've been married since 2005 and started a family and moved to Franklin in 2006. At that time. I left my job as a file clerk at a law firm to be a SAHM, which I've enjoyed for the last almost 14 years. God has blessed us with three amazing children-Dylan, Ty and Macy. We spend most of our summers busy with baseball. I enjoy all genres of music but mostly country. I love movies, shopping, Pinterest, road trips/traveling when possible, decorating and cooking and of course family time! Just starting my job here at Little Wings, I'm looking forward to meeting new families and coming in everyday to the children's sweet little faces and helping them learn and grow.
